The sterilization materials for medical-grade products or products that sterilization is required are mostly harmful for human body; hence, using gamma radiation as a substitute for traditional disinfection materials is becoming a trend.

Gamma radiation, also shown as symbol Y, is an electromagnetic radiation with wavelengths of less than 0.01nm. As it is a high-energy radiation providing tremendous penetration power, it is generally used for radiotherapy or disinfection. When gamma ray is used to PP,PE,PC,PVC products for sterilization purpose, the exposure will lead to product to exhibit a yellowing or deterioration, and this adverse effect will get worse as time goes by due to the products’ poor stability to radiation.

GOYENCHEM-HP13/HP14 Series, an anti-yellowing agent, is designed mainly for products where gamma ray sterilization is required. It can effectively reduce the yellowing and also keep products from fading that the radiation causes to the thermoplastics and thermosetting plastics. GOYENCHEM-HP13/HP14 Series  is shown to have low volatility, processing behavior, remarkable compatibility with high polymer and resin, which makes it ideal for use in any thermoplastics, thermosetting resins, elastomers.

Adding Rate

Recommended adding rate: 3%~8%
