Description
Intro
GO YEN CHEMICAL INDUSTRIAL CO., LTD. (GYC GROUP) is a leading manufacturer of specialty chemicals in Asia. We devote ourselves to supplying products and solutions to our customers worldwide to satisfy and expand the market needs.
GOYENCHEMUV-701 is a long-lasting blocking type anti-UV, anti-yellowing agent. It blocks radicals caused by UV exposure inside the polymer compound effectively. It also features heat stability, making it a multifunctional anti-UV, anti-yellowing agent.
Different from the flaws of chain scission and short effective duration possessed by traditional anti-UV agents, GOYENCHEMUV-701 prevents or delays the properties changes caused by UV for way longer. It holds an exceptional anti-yellowing effect and expands the shelf life of the end-products.
GOYENCHEMUV-701 offers excellent light stability, dispersibility, and features great compatibility with various polymers. GYC recommend applying GOYENCHEMUV-701 to any TPU products such as automotive parts, synthetic leather, sealing piece, footwear, tube, cable, and wire.

Case Analysis
Subject: TPU
Conditions: QUV test, 0.68 W/m2@340n, with different testing groups of exposing after 24 hours, 72 hours, and 200 hours
Objective: Yellowness Index (△YI)
Group | TPU
(no addition) |
TPU
(add in traditional anti-UV agent) |
TPU
(add in GOYENCHEMUV-701) |
Beginning | -3.87 | 4.39 | 5.26 |
24 hrs | 16.24 | 9.06 | 11.67 |
△YI | 20.11 | 4.67 | 6.41 |
72 hrs | 46.24 | 21.40 | 20.41 |
△YI | 50.11 | 17.01 | 15.15 |
200 hrs | 74.00 | 49.01 | 35.54 |
△YI | 77.87 | 44.62 | 30.28 |
Test Result: The yellowing effect of the TPU without addition turned worse over time, and the YI even surpass 77 after 200 hours. The yellowing effect of the TPU with traditional anti-UV agent still surpass 40 after 200 hours. The yellowing effect of the TPU with GOYENCHEMUV-701 performed better than the traditional anti-UV agent after 200 hours.
