GY-NIR-723, developed by GYC, masks the waveband near infrared zone effectively and mask off heat source simultaneously. GY-IR500-6 can be mixed with various solid or liquid polymer, including thermosetting resin, thermoplastic plastic, and ink coating (maintaining the transmittance of visible light). GY-NIR-723 can be applied to housing, ship coating, heat insulation material for automobile/construction, and electronics.

The wavelength of infrared locates between microwave and visible light, ranges from 760nm to 1 mm. Infrared is invisible same as red light, but its wavelength is longer. It masks the waveband from objects caused by thermal radiation under room temperature.

The rays from sunlight include UV (200nm-400nm), infrared (780nm-1000nm), visible light (400nm-780nm), etc. UV causes human skin to age and lowers products lifespan. Human body feel the heat from infrared. Most of the heat sources from infrared, and its penetrating power through fog is stronger than visible light. The trend of decreasing UV and infrared emerged due to global warming.

Adding Rate

Recommended adding rate: 0.05%~1%

The adding rate is to be regarded as general guideline which can be adjusted according to different application/formula and expected effect for infrared absorption.
