GOYENCHEM-FTW-5 is a hydrophilic fire retardant for the efficient synthesis of nanostructures. It has excellent flame retardancy, water solubility and processing properties, with good compatibility with water also. GOYENCHEM-FTW-5 can be directly added to the water-based resin or applied to various water-based system coatings, architectural decorations, high-value flame retardant curtains, upholstery fabrics, curtain fabrics, and special work clothes for the automotive industry and other fabrics.

Processing Conditions

  • Flame retardant application of water-based resin: GOYENCHEM-FTW-5 can be directly added to the water-based resin and solvent-free resin.
  • Flame retardant after textile treatment: Flame Retardant Post-Processing of Polyester and Fabric.

 

A) Processing steps:

Flame Retardant Treatment of Polyester and Polyester Cotton Fabrics.

The fabric should be pre-removed dust and other pulp, cleaned and kept moist.

According to the composition, weight and structure of the fabric, it is treated by dipping and dipping.

120℃~140℃×60 seconds, pre-drying 120℃~140℃×60 seconds.

 

B) High temperature heat setting processing:

Polyester fiber Plain weave 195℃~205℃ 40~60 sec.
Polyester fiber Braid 185℃~195℃ 40~60 sec.
Cotton – 155℃ 4 mins.

165℃~170℃ 2~3 mins.

 

C) Final steps:

Cooling, coiling, and if necessary, wash off the unfixed flame retardant on the surface to improve the fabric feel

 

  • For chemical fiber processing, this nano-flame retardant can be effectively added to the fabric to achieve preliminary results (the above information is the knowledge and experience of GYC. It is recommended to do testing before mass use to obtain the best processing conditions).
  • GOYENCHEM-FTW-5 needs to be processed by high temperature setting method, and appropriate dyes for PET chemical fiber should be selected.
