Epoxy resins are polymers and the general term for a class of polymers consisting of two or more epoxy groups in the molecule. Epoxy resin possesses high adherence, low contraction ratio, good workability, excellent electric insulation, and exceptional acid and alkali resistance. It is commonly used in electrical insulation casting, LED, copper clad laminate, coating, and metal adhesion. However, the weather resistance of epoxy resin is not great and it experiences yellowing effect easily, mostly caused by exposure to sunlight.
