GY-CLN Series Purging Compound
GY-CLN-SERIES Purging Compound series which are developed by GO YEN CHEMICAL INDUSTRIAL CO. LTD. (GYC GROUP) are in the form of granular that the users may clean the screw and barrel while remaining the same processing conditions of last material in production. Featuring unique catalytic and cross-linking structures, the purging compound purges out the deposits or leftovers by reducing their adhesion to the barrel and provides no harm to the barrel and screw. Compared to the traditional cleaning methods such as purging with resin that great amount is required,
GY-CLN-SERIES is efficiency in production and cost reduction and brings no harm to barrels and screws and is suited for applications in any thermoplastics molding machines.
Description
Intro
To maintain the production equipment and to ensure the quality of end products, the plastic processing machinery (plastics molding machines, injection molding machines, extruders, film blowing machines, etc.) has to be purged thoroughly for color and material changes; as a result, the efficiency of purging procedures turns out to play an essential role during the processing.
When the inner surface of barrel is not purged thoroughly and is jammed with color or carbon deposits, the following production will be affected and contaminated that leads to a decrease in productivity and elevated production costs.

Features/Advantages
- By expanding the compound itself to purge out the leftovers in the barrel
- Highly compatible with any resin
- In the form of granular that the users may clean the screw and barrel while remaining the same processing conditions of last material in production
- The compound will not be left over in the barrel
- Reduces the defect rate caused by the leftovers
- Provides fast-acting and thorough cleaning with only little amount of compounds
- Efficient for color and material changes
- Purges out the leftovers from the last production such as resin, insoluble matter, glass fiber, etc.
- Provides no harm to the barrel, die, and screw
- Features outstanding heat stability: does not produce odor and smoke under a high temperature
- Efficiency in production and cost reduction
- Remains great cleaning performance under a high temperature
Applications
- Injection molding machine/extruder
- Plastic blow molding machine, inflation film manufacturing machine, film blowing machine
- For cleaning general plastics, engineering plastics, or thermoplastics
Recommended Amount
GY-CLN-01/ GY-CLN-02 Purging Compound | GY-CLN-03 Purging Compound for cleaning carbon and color deposits | |
Tonnage output by injection molding | 80 MT: approx. 0.5 kg
100 MT: approx.1 kg 200 MT: approx. 1.5 kg 550 MT: approx. 2.5~3 kg |
|
Inflation film manufacturing machine/ Film blowing machine | Diameter of the screw 50~55: 1.5~2kg |
*The amount is to be regarded as general guideline which can be adjusted according to the level of contamination.
Purging Instructions
- Remove the nozzle and die head
- Feed GY-CLN SERIES into the barrel
- Let react for 3-5 minutes to produce the best cleaning performance
- Start purging at low screw speed and let the material come out from the head until most of the GY-CLN SERIES is purged from the barrel
Note
- When using GY-CLN-SERIES in the purging procedures, avoid adding other detergents.
- A pilot run is recommended before a mass usage amount.
