Biodegradable plastics can be degraded after being buried in the environment where with light, heat, oxygen, humid, microbes, etc. 

Nowadays, biodegradable plastic has been used to make into our daily necessities; however, compared with the traditional plastic products, the ones that made of biodegradable plastic show poor functionality and properties, leading to the defects such as degradation, yellowing, short shelf life, and so forth. As a result, functional additives become a must for biodegradable material. However, traditional additives are not allowed to be added into biodegradable material due to their indecomposability and toxicity. The concept of biodegradable plastic is that the material can be degraded into small molecular compounds in a short period of time by sunlight or microbes in soil. The induction period of biodegradable plastic refers to the time that a horizontal crack is appeared on the product caused by the ambient environmental conditions after the bioplastic product is made. Every biodegradable plastic has different induction period, and the duration required for every biodegradable plastic is different either. The induction period of mulch films, for example, should not be shorter than the one of crops. Using the temperature, humidity and microorganisms in the environment, the high-molecular-weight products are first crushed into low-molecular-weight products, and then ingested, swallowed by the microorganisms, and finally decomposed into carbon dioxide, water and bio-based. Buried in the soil is prone to produce a large number of microorganisms, surrounded by microorganisms, and through GYC’s unique nanotechnology, after adding GOYENCHEMUV-BD70 Anti-UV/ Anti-Yellowing Agent for Biodegradable Plastic to the decomposable plastic to form a Nano-barrier on the end product, can effectively block the light, heat, oxygen, moisture, etc. from the external environment. At present, the special case of applying agricultural film is used on crops that are grown twice a year without cracking. Compared with the degradation and decomposition of PLA agricultural film and the scene of weeds, it is actually conducive to adding different ratios of agricultural film to different crops.

Adding Rate

The decomposition efficiency will be higher followed by the increasing adding rate of GY-MDG. The service life of polyolefin films containing GY-MDG can be controlled.

The adding rate can be adjusted according to type of material and the expected effect.
