Description

Intro

Composited by thermoplastic resin(polyvinyl butyral), GY-PVB-40 is the resin with low viscosity made by condensation reaction of polyvinyl Alcohol and n-butyraldehyde.  This is the product that GO YEN CHEMICAL INDUSTRIAL CO., LTD. (GYC Group) provided for most organic solvents in various fields, such as primer, ink industry, paint & coating industry etc.
With highly compatibility, GY-PVB-40 can combine with glass, metal, plastic, leather & wood for adhesion improvement.

Due to the reason of free hydroxul group, GY-PVB-40 works as Co-binder in two-pack systems, Reactive component, and cross-linking agent for the following materials,

• Epoxies
• Melamine
• Phenolic
• Isocyanate resin

Good solubility in most organic solvents/ mixed solvent as following,

• Alcohols, most recommended
• Methanol
• Ethanol
• N-Propanal
• Propanal
• N-Butanoll
• Most soluble in mixed solvents: Ethanol/ Toluene, Methanol/ Methyl Ethyl Ketone
• Esters & Ketones: partly soluble or isolatable
