Butyl stearate is commonly used in polyvinyl chloride, polystyrene and other lubricants. It has excellent internal and initial lubricant application, good dispersibility and heat resistance, and better lubricating effect when used together with stearic acid. It’s suitable for transparent products, also can be used as plasticizer, film molding agent. Soluble in most organic solvents (acetone, benzene, chloroform, wax, vegetable oil and mineral oil), slightly soluble in glycerin, ethylene glycol, methanol and some amines.
