GY-CACO SERIES Precipitated Calcium Carbonate CAS NO. 471-34-1

Description

Intro

GO YEN CHEMICAL INDUSTRIAL CO., LTD. (GYC GROUP) is a leading manufacturer of specialty chemicals in Asia. We devote ourselves to supplying products and solutions to our customers worldwide to satisfy and expand the market needs.

Calcium carbonate is one of the most common inorganic minerals on the earth. It is often used in plastics, rubber, inks, coatings, papermaking, and other industries as fillers, reinforcements or to replace other fillers in the manufacturing industry. There are three grades of calcium carbonate: precipitated, ground, and nano types, in which precipitated calcium carbonate is chemically reacted.  Its manufacturing process is: calcined and decomposed into calcium oxide – reacted with water to form calcium hydroxide – added carbon dioxide to form calcium carbonate – and then dehydrated – dry powdered, the sedimentation volume is larger than the ground calcium carbonate.

GY-CACO calcium carbonate series provide products with different particle sizes, oil absorption, and specific gravity according to different industries, improve the different characteristics of products, and meet the customized needs of customers.

Features/Advantages

  • Good color.
  • Excellent whiteness.
  • Very high purity, fewer impurities.
  • Excellent dispersibility.
  • According to different industrial applications of customers, a wide range of specifications.

Applications

  • Plastic industry: As a filler, it can enhance the hardness of the product and improve the surface smoothness of the appearance. Also, because of its high whiteness, it is often used as a whitening filler.
  • Rubber industry: Can be used as filler in the production of tires, rubber shoes, rubber components, hoses, and tapes to increase tensile or wear resistance; used alone as a reinforcing agent or used in combination with other filler materials such as carbon black, clay, titanium dioxide, etc.
  • Ink and coating industry: It’s widely used in printing ink, synthetic resin coating, oil-based paint, emulsion paint, primer, or other coating industry, as the application of reducing or improving the gloss of product or anti-settling and so on.
  • Paper industry: With other fillers such as kaolin or clay to increase the whiteness of the paper.
  • Agriculture: Alkaline can be used as an acid-base neutralizer, often used in the modification of acidic soil, and can also supply the calcium in the soil to avoid the loss of soil calcium.
  • Animal husbandry: Used in the feed industry, it can be used as a calcium supplement to increase the calcium content of the feed.
  • Wire and cable industry: Filling with insulating properties.
  • Desulfurization: It can neutralize acid gases such as sulfides emitted by factories, so the amount of sulfur emitted is more environmentally and more in line with regulatory standards.
