PU Anti-Yellowing Agent Series

GGK-680GGK-681 and GGK-690. They not only can effectively solve the yellowing problem by the polyurethane foam from acid gas, light degradation and the processed of high temperature conditions. Moreover, it will not be affected while mixed even it can reach the required of yellowing from manufacturers with the good compatibility.

Description

Intro

Polyurethane is a widely multi-functional polymer, and according to the different raw materials which including black material (isocyanate), white material (polyol), flame retardant and anti-UV agent to obtain the different properties foam. Generally, the foam can be divided into two categories: rigid and soft.
Due to the advantages of rigid foam: low density, sound-absorbing and thermal insulation. It can apply to architectural foam surfboard, freezer plates, concert hall, auditorium, freezer, refrigerators, sofa and other décor or functional materials. And within the good flexibility, good strength, good elasticity and small compression set properties; soft foam can apply to motor & motorcycle cushion products, shoes, sofa, bra and the others.

GO YEN CHEMICAL INDUSTRIAL CO., LTD. (GYC Group) technology department found that there are many reasons for causing the yellowing of PU foam:

  1. PU foam may cause yellowing or fade under the long-term exposed at the ultraviolet. 
  2. Due to the environmental impact, resin and foam may cause the products cracking.
  3. Because of the aromatic isocyanate for the PU foam, TDI or MDI may produce Quinone class yellow substance due to the light cracking.
  4. The processing and high temperature may cause yellowing.
  5. Due to the attack from industrial emissions of nitrogen oxides NOx.
  6. The using time and storage processed may cause yellowing.

For all the needs of products, GYC Technical Department developed wide range of PU anti-yellowing agents and anti-UV products: GGK-680GGK-681 and GGK-690. They not only can effectively solve the yellowing problem by the polyurethane foam from acid gas, light degradation and the processed of high temperature conditions. Moreover, it will not be affected while mixed even it can reach the required of yellowing from manufacturers with the good compatibility. And it has been using by many domestic and foreign manufacturers of foam.

Instructions for using product

  1. GGK-600 series can be added to the polyol with simple processing by stirring and it has excellent compatibility.
  2. The added amount is equal to the total weight of polyol and isocyanate.
  3. GGK-600 series can be added the different need of resins and it has the excellent compatibility with PU.
  4. The dosage can be adjusted by the different needs of clients.
