INTRODUCTION

Trimellitic Anhydride, part of multi-function intermediate, is developed & applied for chemicals and polymers. Trimellitic Anhydride is also applied as part of important curing agent at the production process of epoxy resins, polyester resins or polyurethane. With the excellent performance of holding high temperature and low volatility of polymeric plasticizers, TMA can be widely used as plasticizers because of offering the low-temperature flexibility and processing ease of phthalate esters.
Trimellitic Anhydride is also suggested for the production of oven-cured coatings and air-dry coatings because it has a strong thermal resistance. Also it is used to produce TOTM, or dopolyesterimide because it is found to able to condensed with aromatic diamineto.
Other special applications, like as fiber treatment agent, daily use products, for water-solved paints…
